Away from acting, the actor began training as a martial arts teacher in 2022. In the meantime, he has mastered numerous sports, starting with Kung fu, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, boxing, kickboxing, MMA and Parkour. Besides martial arts, another great passion is music. Ilyes has been playing the piano and taking singing lessons since he was 15.

He can currently be seen as Xatar in Fatih Akin's hit film "Rheingold".
